Dr. Teju

Dr. Teju Fagbeja

Public Health and Human 

Development Consultant

Dr. Teju Fagbeja is an esteemed public health and development specialist with over 20 years of distinguished service. A medical graduate from the University of Ibadan, he also holds an MSc in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Bath, UK, and a dual master’s degree in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University and the United Nations University. He pioneered the first-ever publication of Multiple Overlapping Deprivation Analysis (MODA), a multidimensional poverty assessment tool for children by UNICEF.

With a keen ability to strategize and execute development programs, Dr. Fagbeja has forged strategic alliances as Policy Advisor to the Governor. His notable achievements include collaboration with UK-DFID to develop Osun state’s first Development Plan since its inception in 1991, and creating the framework for the state’s insurance scheme. His strategic decisions significantly boosted the state’s revenue through a biometric registration system, specifically in the mining sector.

In the field of HIV Care and Treatment Services, Dr. Fagbeja played an instrumental role in establishing numerous treatment centers across Nigeria and introduced Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) of HIV in exposed infants. His efforts have led to the training and capacity enhancement of over 1000 healthcare professionals.



Dr. Akwaudikanwa Uwajeh

President, Medical Women’s 

Association of Nigeria, Taraba State

Hailing from Delta State, Nigeria, Dr. Akwuadikanwa Raalueke Uwajeh is married to Mr. Ebenezer Kayode Alao. She is a skilled medical practitioner with a specialty in tropical medicine, drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), and other infectious diseases.

Dr. Uwajeh is an alumna of the University of Jos, Nigeria, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in August 2007. Further augmenting her expertise, she pursued a postgraduate certificate in Clinical Decision Making for DR-TB, and a Masters in Tropical Medicine, both from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium. She also holds a Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine Certificate from Medecins San Frontieres.

Starting her medical journey as an intern at Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos, from 2007 to 2008, she quickly rose to the position of Chief Intern. During her national youth service at the Taraba State Specialist Hospital (TSSH), Jalingo, she accomplished a significant milestone by performing the first exchange blood transfusion (EBT) in the state for a baby at risk of mental retardation due to severe neonatal jaundice.

Upon completing her service, Dr. Uwajeh secured a permanent position at the same hospital in July 2010 and has since been heading the Department of Internal Medicine at TSSH. Since 2015, she has served as the Focal Person for the Taraba state DR-TB treatment center. Her expertise extends to managing Infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and Lassa fever. Dr. Uwajeh also held the position of Auditor and Treasurer for the National Medical Association (NMA) Taraba State from 2011 to 2014. 



Keghter Jeremiah

Licensed Clinical Psychologist 

Keghter Jeremiah is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with significant experience in the non-profit sector, providing comprehensive mental health services to a diverse array of individuals. He holds certification in Applied Behavior Analysis, specializing in delivering effective interventions for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Currently, Jeremiah brings his expertise to the Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) in Lagos, where he serves as a Clinical Psychologist. He dedicates his skills to fostering the mental well-being of patients, utilizing his comprehensive understanding of mental health to aid in their healing process.

In addition to his clinical practice, Jeremiah volunteers at the Joyful Tears Initiative for the Underprivileged (JTI). His role at JTI involves raising awareness about breast cancer and providing counseling to women who have been diagnosed with the disease or who are survivors.

This underscores his commitment to the mental health support of individuals during challenging times, displaying the versatility and breadth of his expertise in the field of psychology.
